>What are your opinions of the New 52? Or at least that continuity? I quite enjoy and not really get the hate after about 6… yes I have read pre-flashpoint. I get being upset but to complain about it for this long. Anyways what’s your opinion?>
First off, I’m not the target audience for that line of books, nor should I be. So my opinions on them are largely irrelevant, presuming that DC has been able to capture a new, younger audience. There’s nothing wrong with making changes to freshen up your line and make it appeal to current readers.
That all said, personally I find it difficult to read most of those books, not because I can’t follow the continuity or anything but because my emotional connection with most of those characters has been broken. To me, quite often the DC characters feel like completely different people now, in a way that makes it difficult for me to connect them with the incarnations that I love from the past. So it’s really a question of not liking the ethos that’s driving the line in my case.

I did try some of the books…but am only still reading 2. I never thought there would be a time when I didn’t read Superman or legion or JSA but there gone
